Cmc Assembly
Every year brings a list of new electronics to the market place, whether it is new cars, boats or high end electronics equipment. To bring us these new products, it takes engineers and designers many hours spent at the drawing boards to figure out how to improve on old products or how to create whole new products that will take us places we have never been before. To help these engineers and designers arrive at a finished product many of them rely on a custom built CMC assembly program to provide them the products they need. Every new product starts with a concept, the think tank or design group within a company decides on which device they are going to either improve upon or create a whole new device. From the drawing boards the next phase of any project is to create a prototype of the new project. Many companies do not have the facilities to build their own prototypes and instead rely on a custom made CMC assembly to test their new ideas. To create this new CMC assembly the engineers at CMC take the blueprints, schematics and notes from the design team and attempt to create a working model.
This working model is completely made from scratch using the materials specified by the design team. If for some reason a particular material cannot be used it is up to the team at CMC to advise the original designers and suggest an alternative that will work better. Once everything has been approved, CMC assembly of the prototype is created and tested as far as possible in house to make sure that every connector, wire and joint has been made according to specifications. From here it will be sent back to the original designers so that they can test it under application conditions.
This is a critical phase of any project and is usually where any flaws in the original design are discovered. If there are flaws in the design the original design team will go back to the drawing boards and attempt to find the problem. In some cases they may consult with engineers who created the original CMC assembly to see if they have any suggestions that can help them to get the project back on track and functional. Once all necessary changes have been made to the design it will be sent back to CMC for retooling. Here a new CMC assembly will be created to fit in with the new specifications and the whole testing process will repeat itself until a working prototype has been created. Once approved a final prototype will be sent to the production line so that it can be duplicated to manufacture the quantity needed by the original designing company and quantity manufacturing can begin. It takes a lot of thought and effort to create new electronic products in today's high tech world. If you or your company need help getting a product from the drawing board to a finished CMC assembly then the staff at Carr Mfg. has the staff and the knowledge to make sure that your product is successful.
