Job Description

Position Fabricator/Assembler III
Reports to Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
  • Assemble products to customer requirements
  • Maintain a high quality of operation
  • Ensure all finished products are compliant to customer, regulatory, or company requirements
  • Assist others in assembly area
  • Create and revise work instructions as required
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a cable assembly environment for minimum 5 years
  • Current or recently expired IPC620 certification required

  • Be responsible for safety awareness in all jobs to help eliminate injuries to yourself and your team members.
  • Learn and follow all safety requirements. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
  • Constantly check for safety hazards and ensure problems are rectified promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Report to work fit for duty and not affected by alcohol, drugs, medications or other harmful influences.
  • Actively participate in safety improvement activities.
  • Report any unsafe practices by coworkers or contractors.
  • Immediately report all injuries and other safety incidents.
  • If you are injured return to work as soon as possible to appropriate duties
Education
  • Some college preferred
Skills & Experience
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Good coordination
  • Able to interpret requirements with minimal supervision
  • Experience in measuring, cutting, and stripping wires
  • Ability to solder wires from 10AWG to 30AWG
  • Crimping various contacts to wire using hand crimpers
  • Maintaining and working to a schedule with minimal supervision
  • Ability to break down complicated drawings into simple and repeatable steps
  • Work with, lead, and train others in various work cells
  • Be able to predict assembly issues and formulate plans to eliminate them
Authority
  • Create production notes and assembly aids
  • Create, revise and train to work instructions
  • Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system.
Required Training
  • Introduction to AS9100
  • Quality Policy & Objectives
  • Contribution to the effectiveness of the QMS, Product conformity, and product safety
  • Implication of not conforming with QMS requirements
  • Importance of Ethical Behavior
